About Me

My photo
My name is Charlie (like you haven't worked that out!). I'm 12 years old and live in Sydney, Australia. I'm a Ragdoll puss cat and have a very laid back temperament when I'm with people I know. My favourite colour is green (grass is green and I like to eat it!), my favourite food is fish and I lurve cuddles of any description. I flop over when me Mudda says "flip flop" and I know what "breaky time" means! Breaky can be at any time of the day or night and can also occur multiple times a day! Yummo! My fur is soft as silk and I'm a bed hog! That's about it!

My Heroes......

Hiya Efurryone,
Firstly, thanks for the birthday wishes for yesterday.
I'm a big 12 year old, now!

Secondly, it's been a long time since I last posted, and here's some insight into why.
You may be aware that earlier in the year I was unwell wiv ear troubles.
Well..........that was just the beginning of my woes!

Since I last saw you, I have been spending up big on Mum's credit card!
I've been seeing some specialist V-E-T's at the
SASH (Small Animal Specialist Hospital) in Sydney.
Now, I know that mostly we don't like V-E-T's,
but the people at SASH are completely pawsome!

I was originally referred to see Dr Philippa for my ear troubles.
Dr Philippa really likes skin and ears!
Mum says she's a Dermatologist for cats and dogs.
(Harrumph!)  I don't think much of her taste for woofies!

Dr Philippa looked in my ears, ordered some tests,
(including an MRI [Major Rude Invasion]), thought a lot about it,
and decided my ears were not the problem.  She referred me to Dr Andrea.

Dr Andrea is a specialist in all things feline,
so I reckon that means she has real taste and pizazz!
I like her even if I do growl at her occasionally!  Sorry Dr Andrea!

This is my 'I'm really sorry face'!

Dr Andrea has been quite the super sleuth and says I'm having 'sea shores'.
When I told Mum, she said I've got it wrong and says I'm having seizures.
I'm a bit glad I'm not having 'sea shores' coz the seashore gives you sand
in places that sand is not supposed to be! Phew!

So, now I'm resting up a bit while my medication takes effect
and Dr Andrea finds a good dose for me.

Thank you to Dr Andrea and Dr Philippa, and all the other wonderful people at SASH.
You're my super heroes!

  1. Charlie! You made us laugh about the sand and the sea shores, but seizures are no laughing matter. We're glad that Dr. Andrea got you diagnosed and is on the way to getting your dosage regulated. Big purrs from all of us for you to be back to feeling like yourself again soon!

  2. Firstly, ahppy birthday for yesterday Charlie. I'm so glad that you're back to blogging. I hope that you continue to update us regularly.

Disappointing that you haven't been well, but it does sound as though you have had some very lovely ladies looking after you. I hope that they're well on the way to having sorted out those sea shores for you. You are very brave to have endured the Major Rude Invasion!

All the best. Bug hug for your mudda too.

  3. Hello beautiful! Happy Birthday - you don't look a day over ......6?
Your troubles are worrying but I am pleased that Dr Andrea is kind to you and seems to be helping you a good deal - even if you had to endure that nasty Major Rude Invasion. You have had your Mudda very worried and upset -but I am sure she is feeling a whole lot better as well.

    Noela.
